Having commenced in 2023, MTFC Youth Development Phase was created to provide an elite and advanced football pathway in to the senior team set up at Matlock Town FC, by developing players with the ability & attributes to progress and play at Step 3 in the
Northern Premier League.
Our advanced coaching programme is overseen by experienced
UEFA B coaches, who have previously coached at local EPPP Academy Clubs and who put a big emphasis on player development and
player opportunities.

As we continue to expand our Youth Development Phase, we will be forming new teams for the 24/25 Season.
Our new 11v11 age groups from U13 to U16, will compete in the Saturday Junior Premier League (JPL) 24/25 Season.
Providing a pathway to the Academy U16-U19 Education Team,
FA Youth Cup Team, Mid Week U21s Team and the First Team.

MTFC Youth Development Centre
Recommencing in October 24 will be our popular weekly football Training Centre sessions.
Based at Cavendish Playing Fields 3G, in Matlock and booked in advance, these sessions are for age groups U12 & U15, based on
24/25 season.
Our sessions are designed to run along side existing grassroots commitments and will provide players with a wide range of coaching & technical practices.
Designed by experianced UEFA B coaches, our sessions will help players grow in both knowledge and their football pathway.
